Yes, I believe in investing in timeless pieces. Things that will last and stay chic forever.But if you pay $145 for a hat like this, I will personally punch you in the throat. (oh, it's on sale for $105. Pardon moi.) I could teach an eight year old to knit this hat in an afternoon.
It's time for us to start thinking about what we are really paying for. I can't say anything with regard to this hat specifically, I don't know if it was knitted by hand or machine; perhaps the $105 breaks down to an hourly minimum wage for the grandma that knitted it. In which case, fair play grandma, but I'll knit you one for $104.
