Some dirty vintage.

So, last night my amazing bridesmaid Ciara took me and the Mommy to "An Evening of Vintage Bridal Inspiration" at the recently re-opened Dirty Fabulous Vintage Boutique. I kind of expected a drinks thing with a half-assed fashion show... however, it turned out to be a really intimate evening of cranberry prosecco, free make-up, and some FUCKING. AMAZING. DRESSES.

After being let in by buzzer to their new boutique on Wicklow Street, we went up the narrow staircase and were instantly greeted by a rack of the most mind-blowing vintage wedding dresses. As someone who's spent the last six months trawling the internet and local shops for vintage wedding gowns, I'd say the collection at Dirty Fabulous is unrivaled in Dublin. (We kept it under our hats that I've already bought a wedding dress, and we were treated to lots of attention.)

The rest of the tiny boutique is packed with lots of impressive 50's and 60's era designer dresses, priced from about 150 euros up to the 600 or 700 mark. But it's the good shit: Saks Fifth Avenue originals, etc. As is typical with vintage, there was very few dresses that were bigger than a UK size 10 (US size 4), and even those sizes run very small.

Luckily I'd already had a beer or two, so was easily coaxed into trying some on.
